Providing a safe, supportive space to explore, understand & heal.

Area of Practice

Therapy can be a wonderful source of healing and change. Developing a trusting relationship with my clients allows us to explore behavioral patterns that help myself and them understand why significant patterns reoccur.

Healing takes place in relationships.

My approach to client engagement is collaborative. Together, we explore your unconscious thoughts and behaviors to find meaning and connection. I value warmth and humor. I believe that bringing your authentic self to therapy is the best way to keep moving forward. That’s something that I hold myself to as well.

Our familial roles, or the ways we operate in our families, were assigned a long time ago. We often spend our lives repeating and reinforcing these formative inner scripts.

These scripts and familial roles can shape our lives and influence how we relate to others, to ourselves, and inform how we experience life.

Internal defenses can be built to protect us as children. However, these same defenses can hinder our progress and affect our relationships as adults.

Psychodynamic work helps us collaboratively identify unhealthy patterns and behaviors. In so doing, we can uncover and realize that not everything we think is necessarily true. Your inner script isn’t always reality and your familial roles aren’t always who you are—you are so much more than the stories you were told, and the stories you tell yourself matter even more than you know.

It’s never too late to re-examine yourself and your needs right now, make forward-looking changes, or to truly embrace your authentic self.

Therapy Specialization

Psychotherapy is a source of healing and change. We often find ourselves repeating the same patterns without knowing why or understanding how to break free of these unhealthy cycles. By working together with my clients, we can identify and begin to understand these patterns and get to the underlying root of where and how they developed. This process helps to give my clients better understanding of their own emotional experience, thoughts, and behaviors.

Psychodynamic therapy is an intensive weekly psychotherapy that focuses on understanding ourselves and the way we interact with the world by uncovering our unconscious thoughts and feelings. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is a key component to this process.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, supportive, and engaging. I value warmth, humor, and strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for my clients to explore, understand, and heal.

My work is psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed. I see clients from across the gender spectrum and am affirming of all gender identities and sexualities. I have done extensive work with immigrants and refugees and welcome clients from all racial and cultural identities.
